Brainwave
Brainwave therapists design and teach bespoke therapy programmes for parents and carers to deliver at home or within school settings.
They work with children with a wide range of conditions, including acquired brain injuries and cerebral palsy (hemiplegia, diplegia, quadriplegia, dyskinetic, ataxic, periventricular leukomalacia (PVL), and hydrocephalus), childhood strokes, brain malformations (such as agenesis of the corpus callosum), autism, developmental delay, spina bifida, genetic and chromosomal disorders (including Down’s syndrome and epileptic conditions), syndromes without a name (SWAN), and those without a formal diagnosis.
Their approach focuses on developing children’s mobility, communication, and learning through regular, structured activities. The therapy team includes physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, sensory integration practitioners, and a learning and development specialist.
