Bradley Wiggins has set a cycle helmet plea rush going as well as a gold medal rush. His call for cycle helmet wear has been met with widespread support and approval including Brain Injury Group member and Chairman of Headway Cardiff Andrew Harding.

Increasingly, cyclists involved in an accident who are not wearing a helmet are considered to be partly at fault for their injury which can, in some cases, reduce the damages awarded to them. “I would very much like to see a debate on cycle helmets on the agenda of the National Assembly for Wales, and for them to seriously consider the calls for legislation in favour of cycle helmet,” says Andrew Harding, a specialist brain injury solicitor at Hugh James in Cardiff.
