The Brain Injury Group is a headline sponsor of Road Safety Week, November 19-25, 2012. The week is organised annually by the road safety charity Brake which works to stop road death and injury and provides help and support to road crash victims.
The theme this year is ‘Slower Speeds = Happy People’ – and Brake is campaigning for 20mph speed limits near homes, shops and schools. “Research suggests that over 50% of traumatic brain injuries occur in road traffic collisions, hence our commitment to this important initiative,” says Sally Dunscombe, director of the Brain Injury Group.
