Wetwheels Foundation

Wetwheels Foundation is a UK charity providing safe, accessible and inclusive boating experiences for disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages, including those living with profound and complex impairments.

Through its specially adapted boats, Wetwheels enables participants to take an active role in their experience, with full wheelchair access, adapted steering controls and opportunities to steer the vessel and learn new skills alongside family, friends and peers.

The experiences are designed to build confidence, increase independence, support health and wellbeing and challenge perceived barriers, giving people the opportunity to enjoy activities they may previously have thought inaccessible.

Wetwheels operates from locations across the UK, with trained skippers and volunteer crews who receive specialist disability awareness training to ensure experiences are both safe and inclusive.
