Walkergate Park

Walkergate Park Centre for Neurorehabilitation and Neuropsychiatry offers comprehensive care for individuals with disabilities caused by brain, spinal cord, or muscle injury or disease. Located in Newcastle upon Tyne, it is one of the most advanced centers of its kind in Europe and the first of its kind in the UK.

The centre provides high-quality rehabilitation services across inpatient, outpatient, day patient, and community settings. Their expertise covers managing physical disabilities, neurobehavioral, neuropsychological, and neuropsychiatric conditions. Walkergate Park specialises in treating major physical disabilities, cognitive and behavioral disturbances, and psychiatric conditions linked to neurological diseases.

They are home to the only specialist tertiary neuropsychiatry service in the Northern Region, offering integrated care to help patients maximise their independence. The centre uses an individualised, interdisciplinary treatment approach, focusing on each patient’s past, present, and potential future to create a tailored rehabilitation plan.
