Headway Shropshire
Headway Shropshire is an independent charity supporting people affected by acquired brain injury across Shropshire.
Established in 1989 by healthcare professionals who recognised a lack of dedicated support for individuals with acquired brain injury, the charity has grown to provide a range of services from its base at Headway House in Shrewsbury.
Headway Shropshire operates a Community Wellbeing Centre three days a week, providing support to help individuals affected by brain injury improve their wellbeing, independence and quality of life. The charity also provides ABICS (Acquired Brain Injury Care & Support), a domiciliary care and support service for people living with acquired brain injury.
Supported by a dedicated team of staff, trustees and volunteers, Headway Shropshire is committed to raising awareness of acquired brain injury and helping those affected to enjoy their lives as fully as possible.
Although affiliated with Headway UK, Headway Shropshire is a separate and independent charity, relying on funded contracts, grants, donations and fundraising to deliver its services.
