‘Fabulous, vibrant, energetic, passionate’; some of the words used by the judges to for the Moore Stephen Business of the Year award, won by Brain Injury Group supplier Independent Living Solutions Ltd (ILS). The award was given as part of the South Wiltshire Business of the Year awards, which have been celebrated since 2000 to recognise business excellence in the area. ILS started as a small company with just two people 20 years ago. It now employs over 100 staff across the country, 20 of which are based in the Wilshire office where it started, and provides case management and rehabilitation services to people with brain injury and other complex disabilities.
ILS faced tough competition, with over 30 other similar-sized, reputable firms in the same category. It must have been their night, as they were also shortlisted in the ‘Training Excellence’ category too, so it was a double celebration.
Senior Operations Manager Alison Barker and Learning and Developement Manager Susie Quinlan accepted the award, Susie said “To do the work we do and to work alongside the people we do is a privilege. Our philosophy is that our clients are at the centre of what we do and to help them do the best they can do.”
ILS has been a supplier for the Brain Injury Group since its launch two years ago. Anyone affected by brain injury who pursues a claim with one of our members can automatically be referred to them as a complementary part of the service we offer. This includes case management and rehabilitation, statutory funding advice, and a family co-ordinator at time of crisis too.
